IBM requires Software Engineer - ISL in Pune

Job description
Application Support Engineer Level 2 will independently work with Emptoris customers via email, phone and web communication to manage and resolve incidents and issues for the Emptoris Applications/Products. This individual will manage support escalations, assist application support tier perform frontline support for detailed troubleshooting, incident/case management, issue diagnosis, lab preparation, and manage key accounts. The engineer will participate in schedule to assist 24x7x365 support for Emptoris customers.


  • 3-6 Years of desired experience required

    Required Skills - Technical and Non Technical

    • 3-6 years of Product/Application Support experience

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Hands on/ working knowledge of windows operating systems, XML, DHTML, WebLogic, WebSphere, SQL, Oracle, MySQL and Current versions of MS
    Word/Excel

    • Working knowledge of RDBMS design. Minimum 1 year of hands on experience with SQL/Oracle DB based applications

    • Experience with integrated Enterprise Applications, Bug tracking systems, Reporting Application or Web Based Application support/troubleshooting is a big
    plus

    • Informal leadership skills, ability to influence others even though no direct organization control is assigned

    • Diligent approach to task completion

    • Excellent time management skills
